Potential Problem
.The Unit 2. Train B. Tag No. 2M-DG-H01 Diesel Generator started, overspeeded and tripped due to sluggish operation of the fuel rack. Further investigation revealed that the fuel rack linkage lever had slipped and rotated on the governor shaft, moving the rack out of proper adjustment.
II.
Approach To and Status Of Proposed Resolution Bechtel Engineering has contacted the vendor (Cooper Energy
[
Services), letter B/CES-E-52621, dated December. 31, 1985, requesting concurrence with the reportability evaluation and their proposed corrective action. -A response by January 17, 1986 has been requested. A higher strength bolt has been installed to secure the lever to the govenor control arm in Units #1 and #2.
l III.
Projected Completion of Corrective Action and Subnittal of the Final Report The complete evaluation and Final Report are forecast to be completed by February 14, 1986.
