HOPE CREEK SENIOR REACTOR OPERATOR INITIAL EXAMINATION
REPORT NO. 50-354/98-301 (OL)
Dear Mr. Keiser:
This letter transmits the findings of the senior reactor operator (SRO) license examination,
conducted by NRC examiners, during the week of August 10-12,1998 at the Hope Creek
Generating Station. All four SRO applicants passed all portions of the examination. A
telephone exit meeting was conducted on August 19 with members of your staff and the
results of the examination were provided.
The examination addressed areas important to public health and safety and was developed
and administered under interim Revision 8 to the Examiner Standards (NUREG-1021). All
portions of the examination were developed and administered by NRC personnel. PSE&G
personnel reviewed and provided comments on the exam prior to its administration. We
appreciate your staff's assistance in the exam development and administration processes.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter
and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
