PHILADELPHIA ELECTRIC COMPANY 23O1 MARKET STREET P.O. BOX 8699 PHILADELPHI A. PA.19101 (215: 84i 4 Docket No. 50-352 50-353 Document Control Desk U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555 Pursuant to the requirements set forth in Limerick Generating Station Operating License NPF-39; Appendix A, Technical Specifications, Section 6.9.1.7., we are enclosing one copy of the 1987 Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report # 14 prepared by Philadelphia Electric Company.
)
The Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program found that LGS effects on the environment were not measurable in any sample media except silt and fish.
A small amount of LGS-related Zn-65 activity was found in fish and Co-60 and Zn-65 activity was found in silt.
The calculated dose from silt is 2.lE-02 mrem to a teenager's skin and the calculated dose from fish is 6.8E-02 mrem to an adult's liver.
These doses are well below the 10 CFR50 Appendix I design objectives of 10 mrem.
In all sample media, the actual doses are much lower due to the conservative assumptions used.
The 1987 Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program confirmed that LGS environmental ef fectes f rom radioactive releases were well below LGS Technical Specification and applicable regulatory limits.
Yours truly, W.
