Request for Exemption from Annual Fees l

1 Dear Sir The McClellan Nuclear Radiation Center's (MNRC) reactor is owned and operated by the U.S. Air Force (i.e., a government reactor). The reactor also conforms with the definition of "Research Reactor"in 10 CFR Part 171.3.

Therefore, it is requested that the MNRC reactor be exempted from the annual fee in j accordance with 10 CFR Part 171.11. l Questions concrning this issue should be directed to Dr. Wade J. Richards, (916) 643-1024.
