SUMMARY
- INP0 FINDINGS AT PLANT HATCH This refers to the management meeting conducted in the NRC Region II Office on April 19, 1988.
The list of attendees is enclosed.
This meeting was held at our request to discuss the findinos communicated to you by the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) of the results of their evaluation conducted during the weeks of March 14 and March 21, 1988, and your subsequent actions to shut the 31 ants down for 30 days to effect improvements.
As we understand it, the findings indicate that improvements are needed to correct deficiencies in o)erator training, plant procedures, alarm control boards, updating of drawings, and component labelfng.
We will meet with you for a more comprehensive discussion after the issues are more clearly understood, and to understand more fully the corrective actions you will have completed during this outage.
In addition, we will be evaluating information to be gathered over the next few weeks by our resident inspectors, by other specialist inspectors and by previously scheduled team inspections.
Please advise us of when you will be prepared to meet with us.
