exercise report was prepared by the Region IV office staff of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

There were no deficiencies identified during this exercise.

However, there are three areas requiring corrective actions, and several areas recommended for improvement.

FEMA Region IV staff will furnish a copy of this exercise report to the State of North Carolina and will obtain a schedule of corrective actions from the State which addresses the areas requiring corrective action.

Region IV will assure completion by the State of the necessary corrective actions.

Based upon the results of this exercise, there continues to be reasonable assurance that appropriate protective measures can be implemented by the offsite jurisdictions around the McGuire Nuclear Power Station to protect the health and safety of the public in the event of a radiological emergency.

Therefore, the 44 CFR 350 approval granted on June 4,1981, remains in effect.
