Gentlemen:
This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr.-R. A. Westberg of _this
office on April 13-15, 1988, of activities at the LaSalle Nuclear Power
Station, Units 1 and 2, authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No. NPF-11 and
NPF-18, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. G. J. Diederich at the
conclusion of the inspection.
The purpose of this inspection was to assess
the operational data relative to Static-0-Ring-(SOR) pressure switches.
The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspection. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and
interviews with personnel.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Comission's regulations, a copy of
this letter, the enclosures, and your response to this letter will be placed

in the NRC Public Document Room.
