Dear Ladies or Gentlemen:

Battelle Columbus Division plans to make a series of twenty-one (21) shipments of radioactive waste between April 20, 1988, and necember 31, 1988, which require that you be notified in accord with the regulatory requirements of Chapter 10 Code of Regulations Part 71.97. Either you or an official

, in your of fice (except South Carolina) has authorized me to submit one letter of notification to cover all 21 of these shipments, instead of submitting an individual letter for each shipment. All 21 shipments should be similar, except for a variation in the total curie quantity (between 50 and 2,000 curies) in each shipment.

The information required to be submitted to you per 10 CFR Part 71.97(d) is as follows:
