, The proposed changes involve Section 3/4.3.3.5, Instrumentation, Remote St.utdovn Instrumentation, Table 3.3-9, Remote Shutdown Monitoring Instrumentation and Table 4.3-6, Remote Shutdown Monitoring Instrumentation Surveillance Requirements.

The proposed changes to Table 3.3-9 and Table 4.3-6 vould revise the present reference to Control Rod Position Limit Switcher to the correct reference of Control requirement Rod Position Svitches for remote shutdovn instrumentation. Also, the to perform a channel calibration of these switches every eighteen months vould be deleted. The svitches ar1 fixed and enclosed in a fiberglass tube and initial installa; only requirr ion adjustment (i.e., raising or lowering the tube) during 0.0 replacement at the Control Rod Drive Mechanism. Due to fixed nature of the switches, periodic calibration is not required.

Toledo Edison requests that the NRC schedule this License Amendment Application for review and approval such that the amendment will be issued by October 15, 1988 for implementation within 45 days.

Enclosed is a check for $150.00 as required by 10CFR170.12(c) for a License Amendment Application.
