Dear Administrative Judges:
In an order of July 12, 1988, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board requested the NRC staff to provide a status report by August 1, 1983, concerning the Staff's preparation and schedule for release of its Environtrental Assessment for the spent fuel pool expansion application. Accordingly, the Staff is by this letter informing the Board that its Environmental Assessment was issued on July 25, 1988.
