Dear Sir:
This letter contains a supplement to a proposed amendment to the Technical Specifications for Facility Operating License Nos. NPF-35 and NPF-52 for Catawba Units 1 and 2 which was submitted on December 15, 1987. The request involves changes to improve Catawba's Technical Specification 3/4.7.8 - SNUBBERS.
The attachment contains revisions to the proposed changes and the discussion of
'the jastification and safety analysis. The analysis is included pursuant to 10 CFR SC.91 and it has been concluded that the proposed amendment does not involve significant hazards considerations. This submittal supercedes our previous transmittal in its entirety.
This proposal involves a supplement to a previous amendment request to Catawba's Technical Specifications. Accordingly, no license fee is required.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91 (b) (1) the appropriate South Carolina State Official is being provided a copy of this amendment request.
