VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NO. 1 GENERIC LE' ITER 83-28 ITEM 4.5.1 REACTOR TRIP SYSTEM RELIABILITY (SYSTEM FUNCTIONAL TESTING)
By letter dated June 24, 1985, the NRC provided a safety evaluation for Generic Letter 83-28, Items 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.2.1, 3.2.2, 4.1 and 4.5.1.
Item 4.5.1 of that safety evaluation requested that the NRC be notified when the auto shunt trip modifications were completed for North Anna Unit No. 1.
This letter is to inform you that the auto shunt trip modification has been installed in the North Anna Unit No. I reactor trip system.
In addition, the appropriate periodic test procedure has been revised to include on-line functional testing of the auto shunt trip feature.
These actions should complete Generic Letter 83-28, Item 4.5.1 Reactor Trip System Reliability (System Functional Testing).
We therefore believe this item can be closed.
