EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION - SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 This letter amends our previous letter, dated November 18, 1985, on the same subject. As requested in your letter of November 27, 1985, to Ms. E. Adensam of NRR, the NRC equipment qualification (EQ) inspection of Sequoyah Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 has been rescheduled for January 6 to January 17, 1986.

The inspection will include activities at your corporate offices in Knoxville, Tennessee, and at the plant site in Daisy, Tennessee.

A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 2:00 pm on January 6, 1986, at your corporate offices. The management exit meeting is tentatively scheduled for 11:00 am on January 17, 1986, at the Sequoyah plant site. You will be contacted at a later date concerning arrangements for the members of the inspection team which will be visiting the plant site. The plant site visit is tentatively scheduled for the week of January 13, 1986.

The inspection will include _the following:

1. Review of your implementation of a 10 CFR 50.49 EQ program, including preservation of the qualified status of qualified equipment.
2. Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety Evaluation Report EQ corrective action commitments.
3. Peview of EQ documentation files.
4. Physical inspection of selected equipment.
