Gentlemen:

This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. W. D. Johnson,

P.

H.' Harrell; and C. C. Harbuck of this office during the period

October 1-November 30, 1985,- of activities authorized by NRC Operating

Licenses DPR-51 and NPF-6 for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, and

to the discussion of our findings with Mr. B. A. Baker, and other members

of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

A portion of this

inspection was performed at your Little Rock General Offices (LRG0) by

-

Mr. P. H. Harrell during the period October 8-9, 1985.

The results of this

portion of the inspection was discussed with Mr. H. Greene and Mr. T. Enos of

.

your staff on October 9, 1985.

Areas examined during the inspection included operational safety verification

maintenance, surveillance, followup on previously. identified items, followup on

licensee event reports, surveillance procedures and records, procurement

program review, followup on IE Information Notices, and cold weather

preparations.

Areas examined during the inspection at LRG0 included followup

on previously identified items and a procurement program review. Within these

areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and

representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the

inspectors.

The findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were

' identified.
