Radiography Source Assembly DESCRIPTION:
The Model R-100 radiography source assembly is manufactured by Cumberland Research Corporation as a replacement source for the Radionics Model P60-100. radiography device.
This assembly may be used either for iridium-192 or cobalt-60.
LIMITATIONS AND/OR CONSIDERATIONS OF USE:
The Cumberland Research Corporation Model R-100 source changer may be used for exchanging Model R-100 source assemblies containing up to 50 curies of cobalt-60.
SAFETY ANALYSIS
SUMMARY
i As of the effective date of this document, the Model R-100 Radiography Source Assemoly is no longer manufactured and distributed by Cumberland Research Corporation. Cumberland Research Corporation's materials license expired on July 31, 1977 and the company is no longer in business.
This radiography source assembly was approved for licensing purposes by the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) on March 5, 1970.
There is insufficient information on file for this device to perform a safety evaluation.
Therefore, this certificate is being reissued without further review based on the original review and approval issued by AEC.
