Dear Mr. Sharkey:
This acknowledges receipt of your letter of June 27, 1997, transmitting a copy of the third quarterly status report of Combustion Engineering's (CE) i Criticality Safety Program update (CSPU).
4 CE*s CSPU plan was submitted on September 20. 1996, and is designed to formalize and strengthen CE's nuclear criticality safety program at the Hematite Missouri site.
In that plan, you committed to submit a progress report of the implementation of the CSPU on a quarterly basis.
j We are please to know from your June letter that the progress on the CSPU is essentially on schedule except a 10-month extension for the completion of Automate Change Management Process under the task of configuration control.
However, this extension will not alter the final completion date of that task.
Your cooperation in keeping us informed of the progress of the CSPU is appreciated.
