P'sponse to NRC Compliance Bulletin 87-02 Supplement 2 Omaha Public Power District (0 PPD) was requested in Reference 6 to provide a list of the vendors who have supplied the Fort Calhoun Station with safety and non-safety related fasteners.
This submittal is intended to address both Supplement 1, which requested additional information on safety related fasteners, and Supplement 2.
The scope and content of this response was discussed between Mr. James J. Fisicaro of my staff and Mr. Patrick Milano, NRC Project Manager.
Supplement I requested a list of the suppliers and manufacturers from which safety related fasteners have been purchased for the past ten years, including addresses and the type of fasteners purchased. Accordingly, information on safety related fasteners (Critical Quality Element / Limited CQE) for the last ten years was compiled from a computer search of available receipt inspection records and contains material specifically identified as fasteners (Attachment A).
Additionally, some CQE fasteners may have been purchased from vendors as spare parts for equipment. A list of these vendors is included as Attachment B.
As stated in Supplement 2, the same information is requested for non-safety related fasteners procured in the last 5 years.
This information collection is understood to be on a best-effort basis. Accordingly, information on non-safety related (non-CQE) fasteners was compiled by performing a computer search of purchasing records since 1986 (Attachment C).
The primary vendor for non-CQE fasteners is the Service Supply Company, identified in Attachment A.
