This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. M. F. Runyan and a ,

NRC consultant during the period March 2 through April 5, 1988, of +

activities authorized by NRC Construction Permits CPPR-126 and

CPPR-127 for the Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1

and 2,_and to the discussion of our findings with you and other

members of your staff at the conclusien of the inspection.

The enclosed copy of our-inspection report identifies areas

examined during the inspection. Within thene areas, the inspection

consisted of selective examination of procedures and representative

records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the ,

inspectors. l

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations l

were identified.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a I

copy of this letter and the enclosed inspection report will be

placed'in the NRC Public Document Room.
