This refers to tne routine safety inspection of your inservice testing
activities conducted by Mr. Joseph A. Golla of this office on February 22-26,
1988, at TMI Unit 1 of activities authorized by NRC License No OPR-50 and to
the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Golla with Mr. J. Colitz at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
Four open
items pertaining to inservice testing were closed. Also, one unresolved item
was identified and warrants your attention
