Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 2 (TMI-2)

Operating License No. OPR-73 Docket No. 50-320 NRC Bulletin No. 88-08 and Supplement 1 NRC Bulletin No. 88-08 and Supplement 1 address unacceptable thermal stresses in piping connected to reactor coolant systems.

GPU Nuclear has reviewed the information presented in NRC Bulletin No. 88-08 and Supplement 1 and has determined that the potential for occurence of the unacceptable thermal stresses described is not applicable to THI-2 in the current recovery mode.

If a decision is made to restart TMI-2, this NRC Bulletin will be re-evaluated.
