Dear Sir I have Just read that the,{uclear Regulatory Commission _is l

considering changing the rules on the lu mile emergency j

plannimg zone, around nuclear power plants. The present rules require that the individual states have to approve a realistic evacuation plan for the area around a nuclear power plant before it can go into operation. The N.R.C.

plan would limit the states participation in the, final approval. As a neighbor of Nine Mile #2 in Oswego N.Y.

I am strongly against any change in the present requirements for an evacuation plan around these plants. I feel the people that live around these plants should have the last say on an evacuation plan that they may have to carry out. Thank you for your time.
