s NRC Monthly Operations Sussiary Peach Botton Atomic Power Station June, 1988 UNIT 2 The unit remained shut down with restart activities and emergency service water pipe replacement in progress. Other activities in progress during the month included E-2 and E-4 diesel generator maintenance, #2 13KV auxiliary bus preventive maintenance, and MOVATs modification and testing.

UNIT 3 The unit ren;ained shut down with pipe replacement activities in progress.

Installation of Recirculation and Residual lleat Removal systems piping was completed. Wald radiography, emergency service water piping replacement, feedwater heater replacement, and core spray system N-5-A inlet elbow welding are in progress.

Technical Specifications to accoamodate reload fuel and revise reactor core operating limits. Revisions to reflect modification to the primary system piping and installation of the Alternate Rod Insertion system.

The present licensed spent fuel pool storage capacity and the size of any increase in licensed storage capacity that has been requested or is planned, in number of fuel assemblies:

The spent fuel pool storage capacity has been relicensed for 3819 fuel assemblies.

This modification began on February 20, 1987. The ccepletion date for this modification has been rescheduled for February, 1989 to accommodate the Unit 3 pipe replacement outage.

The projected date of the last refueling that can be discharged to the spent fuel pool assuming the present capacity:

March,1993 (reserve full core discharge cannot be acconnodated after the restart following the completion of the October, 1987 refueling outage until the completion of the new fuel racks)

Installation of the new fuel racks will extend the projected date of the last refueling to September, 2000 (March, 1996, with reserve full core discharge)
