Your letters of May 15 and August 28, 1986, and April 24 and November 24, 1987, pertaining to Braidwood, contained your response to IEB 85-03, "Motor-Operated Valve Connon Mcde Failures During Plant Transients Due to Improper Switch Settings". The review of these responses led to the issuance of a request for additional information on March 21, 1988, and response by you on May 2, 1988.
Review of this additional infonnation indicates that your selection of the applicable safety-related valves, the valves' maxiv.um differential pressures and your program to assure valve operability requested by action item e. of the bulletin is now acceptable.
The results of our inspections to verify proper implementation of this program and the review of the final response required by action item f. of the bulletin will be addressed in forthcoming inspection reports.
