A routine radiation safety inspection was conducted on February 16-19, 1988 at
the Peach Bottom Station by Messrs T. Dragoun and W. Thomas of this office.
The program areas reviewed included followup of a worker allegation, staff
training in radiation protection, calibration and maintenance of radiation
detection instrumentation, processing of radiological workers termination
reports, and the status of the recirculation pipe replacement project.
One licensee identified violation regarding lack of a procedure for calibration
and source checking of portal monitors was observed.
Due to the licensee's
immediate corrective action and in accordance with 10 CFR 2, Appendix C, this
violation will not be cited.
