Kinneman; In'my' discussions today with Mr Tom Thompson of your offlee, he informed me that you were now in charge of reviewing / amending Special Nuclear Material (SNM) licenses.
As the attached reference letier explains we are attempting-to amend our current SNM license (SNM 1977) for Limerick Unit 2 to be able to receive nuclear fuel and to change Condition 14 from a bi-annual to an annual inventory requirement. In my prevlous conversationa with Tom after receiving the original

SNM license in December of last year, he indicated that there would be no problem in changing Condition 14 as mentioned previously. However, Tom informed me today that the entire license amendment app!ication was forwarded to the NRC headquarters in Dethesda. The problem with this is that the Region 1 office should be handling the amending of Condition 14 of our current license and the headquarters in Dethesda should be handling the new fuel license amendment.
