Dear Sir:

This letter is provided in response to the inspection conducted by Messrs.

L. R. Norderhaug, D. W. Schaefer and A. D. McQueen on April 4 through May 2, 1988. Based on the results of the inspection, one violation of NRC requirements was identified. The violation is discussed in Appendix A of the referenced letter. This violation and ANPP's response are provided in the attachment to this letter.

The enclosed information contains Safeguards Information which must be protected against unauthorized disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10CFR73.21 and is therefore to be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10CFR2.790(d).

Please ensure appropriate steps are taken to safeguard its contents.
