SPECIAL NRC INSPECTION
This letter refers to the special inspection conducted by Mr. M. Cillis of
this office on June 17, 1988, of activities authorized by NRC License No.
DPR-54 and
+,o the discussions of our findings held by Messers M. Cillis and
A.-Johnson with Mr.-R. G. Croley and other members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection
' re po rt.'
Within these areas, the inspection consisted.of selective
examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with
personnel, and obFervations by the inspector.
Based on the results of this inspection, it appears that you failed to
adequately control licensed material to ensure workers were not exposed in
excess of the regulatory limits.
Enforcement actions relative to the findings
discussed in the enclosed report will be the subject of separate
correspondence.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter will be placed in
the NRC Public Document Room.
