Reference 1 identifies the RRRC Category I, II and III matters, and the HRR Category IV matters that must be addressed by C-E in order to extend the CESSAR System 80 PDA (PDA-2) for two additional years.

C-E transmitted the CESSAP. System 80 FSAR for docketing considerations and an Appendix A to the FSAR as enclosures to Reference 2.

Appendix A addresses most of the Category I, II and III matters that are applicable to the System 80 design. Although the Category IV matters are not addressed, Reference 2 includes a commitment to address the applicable Category IV matters on or about December 1,1978. Thus, C-E has not yet addressed all the matters required for a PDA extension.

In Reference 3, C-E requests that PDA-2 be extended to December 31,1980.

flowever, since C-E has not yet submitted all the required information, we cannot extend PDA-2 at this time.

(Note: Dr. Joe Goldberg of your staff is aware of the information that must yet be provided.) After we have receiYed all the required information, and upon making a finding that said information is acceptable for PDA extension purposes, we will extend POA-2 for two additional years.
