j betion 2.3.1 of the SER is revised by eliminating the requirement to leave canisters in the fuel pool for two weeks after initial dewatering to verify l

canister integrity. We concur with this change because the process of purging l

and pressurizing the canisters with inert gas followed by visual nonitoring for gas leakage should provide adequate assurance of canister integrity. The

integrity is confirmd later by weighing the canister prior to shipacnt as a final check for water in-leakage during storage.
