DER-72 RIEIDEST NO. 155, REV. 1 INDEE CANAL GARACITRISI'IG In accordance with the Cnztission Iblicy Statement on Technical Specification Improvement for Nuclear Power Reactors (52 Fed. Reg. 3788, 2/6/8M, changes to the supplemntal specification regarding Intake Canal Characteristics are being provided for your review and approval.

'Ihis change was detemined to be n-my during the recent dredging of the intake canal since the flat width in Area B (Figure 15-la) was not a uniform. 'Iherefore, the acceptance criteria was revised to indicate that the width of Area B was 2110 feet.

'Ihis assures that the safety-related flow of 34,900 gpn is maintained to the plant durjng the minimum tide hurricane.

Corresponding changes to the analysis are alm being provided.
