By letter dated November 7,1983, April 11,1986, and May 11, 1988, you responded to the requirements of Salem ATWS Item 2.1 (Part 1) of our Generic Letter 83-28 as related to Point Beach 1 and 2.
Based on our review of your responses, we find your confirmation that all components whose function is required to trip the reactor are identified as safety-related on documents which control safety-related activities, to be acceptable.
Our' Safety Evaluation documenting our review is enclosed.
Resolution of Item 2.1, Part 1, completes the review activity associated with TAC's 52868 and 52869.
