during the period May 23-27, 1988, of. activities authorized by NRC Operating

Licenses OPR-51 and NPF-5 for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1 and 2, and to the

discussion of our findings with Mr. J. M. Levine and other members of your

staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during the inspection included the transportation of radioactive
l
materials, low-level solid radioactive waste management,-and gaseous and liquid
l
radioactive waste releases. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of-
selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with
f

personnel, and observations by the NRC inspector.
The inspection findings are
documented in the enclosed inspection report.

Within the scope of the inspection, no violations or deviations were
