Centlemen:
l On November 20, 1987, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) submitted a letter to the NRC requesting concurrence with an alternative method of compliance with the provisions of Generic Letter 84 09.
This alternative method consisted of replacing the normal drywell instrument air supply with a full-g time pressurized nitrogen system.
In a response dated December 12, 1987, the NRC found this alternative to be acceptable providing that the design for the full-time nitrogen pressurization system be submitted for review no later than eight months prior to the start of the Brunswick Unit 1, Reload 6 outage.
In response to this request, CP&L hereby submits the following design I
