Cp&L Carolina Power 1 Light Company WR 9 ]Eg EM-801 Ms. Joyce L. Tichler Atmospheric Sciences Division Brookhaven National Laboratory Upton, Long Island, NY 11973 Dect Ms. Tichler:
Carolina Power & Light Company has received your request' dated February 5, 1988 and appreciates the opportunity to review the draft copy of the report on radioactive effluents released by the Brunswick Steam Electric Platt (BSEP) during 1986. The Company has performed a review of the Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) sumary of radioactive effluents released from BSEP during 1986. The following corrections are noted:
- 1. The Xe-133M Airborne effluents nuclides released should be 9.67E + O2; therefore, BNL's reported value of 1.89E + 03 is incorrect.
- 2. The Xe-133M fission gases nuclides released for the third quarter 1986 should be 1.03E 2; therefore, BNL's reported value of 1.03E 3 is incorrect.
The corrections are indicated on the appropriate pages in the attached report.
Please call Mr. Stephen D. Floyd at (919) 836-6901 if you have any questions concerning these corrections.

Dear Mr. Zimeman:
Brookhaven National Laboratory is preparing a sumary of radioactive effluents released from comercial nuclear power plants during 1986. The work is being performed under contract to the Office of Administration and Resources Management, U.S. Nuclear Re5ulatory Commission.
In order to verify the accuracy of the infomation before its publication, a draft copy of the data with respect to your plant (s) is enclosed for your review. Please note that the draft information consists of two parts: (1) a copy of your original submittal in standard fomat for incorporation into the computer data base at Brookhaven and, (2) a short summary of the data for inclusion in the report to be published. We would appreciate receiving your comments, suggested changes (particularly changes to the summary pages) and any additional pertinent infom:acion.
Please respond directly to Brookhaven by March 7, 1988 even if no changes to the data are required.
