PART A - OPERATIONS

SUMMARY

The plant continued a refueling outage during the month of November. On ll/li/%, at 2241 CST, licensed operators closed the breakers on the main turbine generator. This completed the eighth refueling outage for Callaway.

On 11/11/96, at 2304 CST, an Engineered Safety Features Feedwater Isolation Signal and a Motor Driven Auxiliary Feedwater Actuation Signal occurred due to the wates level in the 'A' Steam Generator increasing to the high level trip setpoint. Subsequently, the 'B' Reactor Coolant Pump was tripped due to high vibration levels and the plant was shut down per Technical Specification 3.4.1.1 which required the shut down with less than all . reactor coolant loops in operation. The event was reported as L3.censee Event Report %-005.

The plant was started up again on 11/13/%, at 0054, where it was ramped up and operated t t approximately 100% for the remainder of the month.
