This refers to the routine safety inspection in the area of nonradiological
chemistry conducted by Mr. H. Zibulsky and Dr. J. Jang of this office on
Decerter 14-18, 1987 at the Millstone Unit 3 Nuclear Power Plant, Waterford,
Connecticut of activities authorized by NRC License No NPF-49 and to the
discussions of our findings held by Mr. Zibulsky and Dr. Jang with
Mr. C. Clement and other members of your staf f at the conclusion of the
inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region !
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective exaninations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
