Dear Mr. Conte:
I am writing to request a speaker from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) at our next regular meeting of the Community Decommissioning Advisory Committee (CDAC) for the Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company's Haddam Neck Plant.
The committee is interested in a presentation from the NRC on the New Decommissioning Rule for nuclear plants. It is hoped we could be given an overview presentation to help us understand the issue from the regulatory perspective.
Our next meeting is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 29,1997 at the Connecticut Light & Power office on Randolph Road in Middletown, CT.
