In a review of our records, we have determined that you have not submitted your l
anticipated transient without scran (ATWS) design review package pursuant to 10 CFR 50.62(c)(6).
It is the intent of the NRC to complete all ATWS reviews by the end of Fiscal Year 1988.
In order for this schedule to be met, it is necessary that you transmit your ATW3 design review package for your facility which details the l
manner in which you wish to demonstrate compliance with the ATWS reovirements.
We intend to group, where possible, the Westinghcuse ATWS design review I
packages into specific review categories based upon the selection by the l
licensee of one of the three approved generic loaic designs.
It is anticipated that such a grouping would reduce the number of plant specific safety evalua-tions and, therefore, expedite the process.
l Please provide ycur ATWS design review package within 30 days of the receipt i
of this letter.
