-I am responding to your technical assistance request (TAR) dated December 28, 1995, transmitting a letter dated December 27, 1995 (Attachment 1), from Industrial Nuclear Co., Inc. (INC) requesting an exemption from the January 10, 1996, implementation date specified in Section 34.20(e) of 1
The TAR states that "INC indicates this exemption would allow l
continued use of the Model IR-50 source changer by its customers."
We have attached a letter dated January 4,1996 (Attachment 2), from the State of California which notifies the NRC that the INC Model IR-50 source changer meets 10 CFR 34.20 requirements.
Because this is a State of California responsibility, and the information provided in the January 4, 1996, letter, we do not believe any further action is needed. We plan to update the Radiography Cross-Reference program and include the information on NRC's Bulletin Board on Fed World.
