Docket No. 50-219 Generic Lettcr 83-28 With respect to Generic Letter 83-28 and Vendor Document Control, GPU Nuclear provided its program and schedule for completion by letter dated October 23, 1985. At that time GPU Nuclear indicated that the program would be complete by the fourth quarter of 1988. The Vendor Document Control Program is included on the proposed Integrated Schedule list of projects as a Category '
B project. The methodology described in our proposed Integrated Schedule .lan was utilized in our review of this project in relation to other ongoing work.
In the process of formulating resource plans for 1988 outage related activities, GPU Nuclear detennined that the completion of the Vend.r Document Control Program could be deferred until the fourth quarter of 1989 with those resources being allocated in 1988 to necessary outage related and other higher priority activities.
Currently, all procedures required to implement and maintain the program are in-place and the backfit technical review is 807, complete. The backfit effort will continue through 1988 at a reduced level as resources allow with completion planned, as indicated in 1989. If there are any questions, please contact Mr. M. W.
