Dear Mr. Martin:
This special report is submitted in compliance with Rancho Seco Technical Specification 3.14.2.3.b.').
On February 8, 1988, at 2200 hours0.0255 days <br />0.611 hours <br />0.00364 weeks <br />8.371e-4 months <br />, the diesel driven fire pump was declared INOPERABLE due to failure of the fuel storage tank sample taken per Surveillance Requirement 4.18.2.1.h.2.
The motor driven fire pump is out of service for a controller change-out. The diesel pump is functional and remains lined up to supply water if required.
The District does not consider this a reportable event under the requirements of 50.72.B(2)(1).
