Gentlemen:
On January 30, 1984, in our report logged TXX-4101, we notified you of a deficiency involving defective piston skirt castings on the Unit 2 Diesel Genorators (DG) which we deemed reportable under the provisions of 100 R50.55(e).
In oui last report on this issue (Txx-6657 dated September 3, 1987) we stated that wa would replace the skirt castings by March 31, 1988.
However, due to scheduling constraints to support the completion of Unit I construction activity, replacement of the Unit 2 DG piston skirt castings has been rescheduled to be completed prior to Unit 2 Hot functional Testing.
