ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 58 TO LICENSE NO. DPR-45. AND GRANTING OF AN EXEMPTION FOR LA CROSSE BOILING WATER REACTOR (TACS-61293 AND 66089)
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment'No. 58 to Provisional License No. DPR-45 for the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor.
This amendment-revises the Technical Specifications in response to your application'i of April 7,1986, March 24,1987 and August 18, 1987 (LAC 11518, 12166, and 12331). An exemption from 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix R, Section III.H. is granted with respect to fire brigade requirements.
A Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment to License and Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination and Opportunity for Hearing related to the requested action was pub 11 shad in the FEDERAL REGISTER on May 7,1986 (51 FR 16927) and on September 23, 1987 (52 FR 35793).
No coments or requests for hearing wera received. An environmental assessment was also published in the FEDERAL REGISTER with respect to the exemption.
A copy of the related Safety Evaluation supporting Amendment No. 58 is also enclosed. A notice of issuance pertaining to this action will appear in the Commission's notice publication in the FEDERAL REGISTER. The title of the license has been changed to "Provisional License" to signify the present possess-but-not-operate authorization of the license.
