This letter forwards Revision 17 to the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved August 1983 "Physical Security Plan, San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2 and 3" (Plan) for NRC review under 10 CFR 50.54(p).
Page x to this Plan (an attachment to the enclosure) provides a chronology of the current NRC review status for each of its revisions (Revisions 0 through 17).
Revision 17 to this Plan incorporates textual and figure (drawing) changes which are a result of our continuing review and update of this Plan.
Accordingly, enclosed are four copies of Revision 17 textual and figure changes and the Revision 17 PSP pages for' review pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(p).
Two copies have also been forwarded by this letter to the Regional Administrator, NRC, Region V.
l The changes described in the enclosure and its attachments do not decrease the i
safeguards effectiveness of this Plan.
The enclosure and its attachment contain "Safeguards Information" and must be protected under 10 CFR 73.21.
