Gaines of this office on July 18-22, 1994. The inspection included a review of activities authorized for your Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3 facility. At the conclusion - of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your i staff identified in the enclosed report.
I l Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within ' } these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures j and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of activities in progress. The results of this inspection are documented in the I enclosed report. It is our understanding that, at the exit meeting John Houghtaling, Technical Services Manager, committed to revise Training Procedure NTC-238, "Radwaste Services Continuing Training," to include the radwaste personnel required to attend periodic training as addressed in your June 16, 1983 response to NRC Bulletin 79-19. If your understanding of this commitment differs from ours, please contact me immediately. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
