Thi.; refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. J. h. Neisler
of this office on December 7-17, 1987, of activities at Zion Station, Units 1
and 2, ant r orized by NRC Operating Licenses No. DPR-39 and No. OPR-48. and to
the discuss An of.our findings with Mr. G. Pliml at the conclusion of the
inspection.
This inspection was conducted to evaluate the licensee's
implementnic- of Generic Letter 83-28 (ATWS).
The encloseo copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during
the inspectie.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective
examination o' proceduras and representative records, observations, and
interviews wib. personnel.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in violation
of NGC require 7ents, as specified in the enclosed Notice.
