Subject: Combined Inspection Nos. 50-245/87-28 and 50-336/87 24
This refers to the routine safety inspection in the area of.nonradiological
chemistry conducted by Mr. H. Zibulsky and Dr. J. Jang of this office on
November 2-6, 1987, at the Millstone Units 1 and 2 Nuclear Power Plants,
Waterford, Connecticut, of activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-21
and DPR-65 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Zibulsky and
Dr. Jang with Mr. H. Haynes and other members of your staff at the conclusion
of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representa-
- ive records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
