January 2,1997 This letter is to inform you of changes to the schedule for submitting the Technical Specification Change associated with upgrading the existing analog gas monitors to digital monitors.
In the letter referenced above, the Southern California Edison (SCE) Company informed the NRC that the proposed Technical Specification Change to permit upgrading the monitors would be submitted by July 15,1997. However, it has since been deemed necessa'y that additional time is required to prepare the proposed Technical Specification Change. Accordingly, SCE will submit the proposed Technical Specification Change by October 15,1997. Finalinstallation will be scheduled as soon as practical following receipt of NRC Approval.
