EVALUATION OF BAW-10132P We have completed our evaluation of Babcock 6 Wilcox Topical Report BAW-10132P, " Analytical Methods Description - Reactor Coolant System Hydrodynamic Loadings During a Loss-of-Coolant Accident." We have determined that, subject to the stipulations noted in our evaluation, BAW-10132P is acceptable for reference'to describe the application of the CRAFT 2 computer program for the evaluation of induced hydrodynamic loadings.in a PWR during a postulated IDCA.
If our criteria or regulations change, such that our conclusions.concerning BAW-10132P i
are inva'idated, we will notify you and provide you with an opportunity to revise and, if you desire, resubmit this report for our review.
We request, that within three months, you issue a revised version of BAW-10132P and a non-proprietary version incorporating this letter

and your responses to our requests for additional information, as
-noted in our evaluation.
E In our letter of September 15, 1977, we approved your request to withhold BAW-10132P from public inspection pursuant to 10 CFR Part 2.790.

Subsequently, you requested proprietary handling for your June.14,1978 letter responding to some of our requests for additional information.
In support of this request, you submitted an affidavit which contained statements as to the reasons for withholding this information from public disclosure.
We have reviewed your application and material based on the requirements and criteria of 10 CFR 2.790 and have. determined that the above-4 mentioned document sought to be withheld contains trade secrets or

Taylor 0CT 311978 We also have found at this time that the right of the public to be fully apprised as to the bases for and effects of the proposed licensing action does not outweigh the demonstrated concern for protection of your competitive position. Accordingly, we have determined that the information should be withheld from public disclosure.
We therefore approve your request for withholding pursuant to Section 2.790 of 10 CFR Part 2 and are also withholding your June 14, 1978 letter from public inspection as proprietary.
Withholding frcm public inspection shall not affect the right, it any, of persons properly and directly concerned to inspect the documents.
