E TO OPERATING LICENSE-
- The U.,S. ' Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the-Commission) is considering
~
issuance of amendments to Operating License No. DPR-3 issued to the Yankee Atomic. Electric Company (the ' licensee) for operation 'of the Yankee Rowe Nuclear Power Station (the facility), located.in Franklin County, Massachusetts, in accordance'with-the licensee's application for amendment and Supplenients 1 and 2 thereto, all dated July 13,1978.
The licensee will submit additional detailed design information to the Commission for further review.
The proposed amendments would (1) authorize modifications designed to upgrade.certain #, _. _.t features nf the spent fuel pool and enclosure 466d4=s4 fe k
.building %hich include installation of a stainless steel liner and permanent division wall in the spent fuel pool and (2) increase the authorized spent fuel storage capacity of the spent fuel -pool from 391 fuel assemblies to 721 assemblies by in' stalling additional racks by January,1984.
